Refund & Cancellation Policy

The fees and charges for the courses and qualifications offered by Seafood Training Tasmania are listed on a Fee Sheet available from the STT office.

(A) Qualifications covered under a contract of training eg Traineeships:
Fees and charges for training conducted under a contract of training are determined at signup and are contained in a contract between the trainee’s employer and Seafood Training Tasmania.
Seafood Training Tasmania undertakes that no additional charges will be imposed during this period.
Refund details relating to ‘new apprenticeships' are detailed in each individual contract.

(B) All courses and qualifications not under a contract of training:

  • fees of less than $1,000.00: the full amount is due on enrolment; and
  • fees greater than $1,000.00: $1,000.00 is due on enrolment with the remainder due in the last week of the course.

Seafood Training Tasmania undertakes that no additional charges will be imposed for the qualifications covered by the enrolment with the exception of any additional third party licence fees imposed due to a resit of the assessment.

STT will view enrolments as invalid unless all course fees due are paid, or a signed purchase order is received. Full refunds are available provided that 7 days notice of withdrawal is given before course commencement. Where less than 7 days’ notice is given a cancellation fee of $100 may be charged.

Discounts on course fees may be available on application to the CEO of STT. Discounts do not apply to statutory fees, STT enrolment fee or training resources.
