Seafood Training Tasmania is a not-for-profit registered training organisation managed by a board whose members represent the sectors of the Tasmanian seafood and maritime industries.
Most of STT’s training is conducted at our Hobart Training Centre at Salamanca, however courses are also offered each year in St Helens, Smithton and Strahan. Training is also conducted in other regions where there is a clear industry demand.
Seafood Training Tasmania is a one-stop shop for all your maritime needs.
We know that it can be confusing juggling all of the paperwork and complicated licensing requirements, which is why we do it all for you.
Our standard service for all courses includes; MAST fee collection to simplify invoicing, free onsite licensing photography, initial assessment of completed Taskbooks prior to MAST final assessment, and extra guidance throughout the course duration on understanding the licensing requirements.
STT also provide clients with all of the required AMSA licensing forms and give clear guidance and support to ensure that they are completed correctly and delivered within the strict timeframe requirements to avoid client penalties.
STT can arrange MAST oral examinations for current clients as required, and tuition for students who require extra assistance in preparation to sit them, and we only use MAST approved trainer/assessors for courses that may have a licensing outcome.
We are proud to have been the recipient of a number of seafood and training awards including:
